Industrial action including overtime ban and twelve planned strike days called off
Improved offer includes 2.5% pay increase and additional paid holiday
April 28th: Unite Regional Officer, Sean Smyth, welcomed the outcome of negotiations at which a significantly improved pay offer was made to his union’s membership:
“This is a good result for our members who will gain a significantly improved pay increase this year, as well as an additional paid holiday.
“The negotiations followed a ballot where workers voted for strike action with a 90% majority in a vote with an 82% turnout.
“We have called off the twelve days of strike action and the overtime ban planned. This offer is the first step towards ensuring workers at Haldane-Fisher receive a fair share of the company’s recent success and reflects the long-term commitment and loyalty demonstrated by workers to this company”, Mr Smyth concluded.
