September 19th:  Tom Healy of the Nevin Economic Research Institute has recorded a series of short videos outlining the trade union movement’s perspective on Budget 2014 – and busting a few myths along the way.  As Tom said at the launch of Unite’s Pre-Budget Submission earlier this month, while different unions may have marginally different emphases  in the run-up to the October 15 Budget, it’s just a case of ‘a little more salt here and a little more pepper there’ – we are united in our analysis that austerity is self-defeating and that what is required is an end to cuts in overall spending coupled with investment in jobs.
