PTSB: Unite members vote for limited industrial action following rejection of September Labour Court recommendation

unite-white-out-of-redDecember 13th: Unite members in PTSB (Levels 4 and 5) have voted to take limited industrial action following the union’s members’ overwhelming rejection of a Labour Court recommendation issued in September.  Unite represents approximately 1,000 members in PTSB, and this dispute centres around the company’s decision to introduce a new remuneration model and the formal elimination of incremental salary scales.

Commenting, Unite Regional Coordinating Officer Richie Browne said:

“The vote was overwhelmingly in favour of limited industrial action, short of strike action.  Our representatives will be meeting next week to decide the form of that industrial action, following which we will notify the company accordingly”.
