Union Solidarity International: solidarity without borders

USi logoIn a few weeks time, we will be remembering the foodships sent by English workers to help feed their starving Dublin comrades during the 1913 Lockout.

One hundred years later, trade unionism is still about solidarity.

The Irish Region of Unite is proud to support Union Solidarity International.  USi is an organisation supported by major UK and Irish trade unions that aims to build grassroots international union solidarity using the latest technology. The organisation links trade union activists from around the world directly with each other so that you can create and lead campaigns for a fairer and more sustainable world.

Last month, USI and Trade Union TV Ireland concluded an agreement which will see more news from Ireland appearing on the USI Live website in the form of ‘Daily Outrage’ videos.

See below for the latest take on what’s happening from Paula Geraghty of Trade Union TV – ranging from public transport disputes to the People’s Assembly due to take place on Wednesday, September 18th (more info on sidebar).
